What is a heart, and can one tame the darkness that is within it with light? Or does the darkness eventually consume all?
This is one of the basic concepts of a video game series developed by Squaresoft (now Square-Enix). It mixes two elements and brings them together for an intense and in depth story line. Following the story of a young boy names Sora and his two friends Kairi and Riku, as they are thrown into a battle for light and darkness.
The two elements that are mixed are Final Fantasy, a fantasy based RPG with intense plot and well developed characters, and Disney. Every one knows Disney, we all grew up with it, we all love the characters and they are familiar. So how do the two mix into this story of light and dark, well this is one of the things we will discover in my review of the series thus far.
I have always been a Disney fan, from the time I was very young. The Little Mermaid being my favorite movie of all time. I have also enjoyed many other titles, Beauty and the Beast, Cinderella, Hercules, Aladdin, Lion King (1 & 2), as well as newer titles such as Lilo & Stich, Toy Story, The Princess and the Frog, Tangled.
So I will begin the review with the first title released Kingdom Hearts.
